Why EUROSTART exists
Fortin, iDatastart and Compustar between them cover most of the vehicles on the road. BMW is the gap. The CAS immobiliser and BMW's vehicle networks don't behave like anything else, and the mainstream brands largely never solved them — which is why a BMW owner asking about remote start usually gets told it can't be done.
It can. EUROSTART builds nothing but BMW solutions, and this is what we fit when a BMW comes into our Markham shop.
How the range is organised
Every system here is BRS followed by a number, and the number is not a version. It's a coverage group. BRS1 through BRS10 each cover a different combination of BMW models and generations, at the same $950 price.
That means a higher number isn't better or newer — it's just a different set of cars. Two systems can both list the X3 and suit completely different model years, because BMW changed the underlying electronics mid-series.
This is where people order wrong, and it's why we'd rather you didn't shop by part number.

If you're at all unsure, call us on 647-439-4485 with your year, model and VIN. We'd rather spend five minutes on the phone than have you order a $950 kit for the wrong car.
🔑 Every EUROSTART needs a key sacrifice
No exceptions, on any system in this range.
One of your working keys is permanently mounted inside the vehicle, hidden, where it satisfies the immobiliser during a remote start. It stays there for the life of the installation.
BMW keys are not cheap, so if you only have two, budget for cutting a spare before you book. It sounds worse than it is — the key sits untouched and your factory security is unaffected — but it's a real cost and we'd rather you knew now than at the counter.
There is no version of this that avoids it. On BMW, that's simply the trade for having remote start at all.
How it works day to day
Start the car from your factory key fob by pressing lock three times. Nothing extra on your keyring, no second remote to carry, no aftermarket buttons in the cabin. Most owners stop thinking about the system after the first week.
The limit is range. A factory fob reaches a few hundred feet at best, line of sight. If you want to start the car from inside a building or across a parking lot, add smartphone control and distance stops mattering.
The kits connect through your BMW's factory connectors rather than splicing into the harness, so the wiring is left as BMW built it — which matters on a car under warranty, and again if you ever want the system removed cleanly before selling.
