This is the Mid City Engineering SKSNG211 remote starter for Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz is one of the hardest vehicles to fit a remote starter to. The mainstream brands largely don't cover it, because the Electronic Ignition Switch and the FBS immobiliser don't behave like anything else on the road. Mid City Engineering builds solutions specifically for that gap.

What it does

• Starts from your factory key fob out of the box, using the panic button or a lock-unlock-lock sequence. No extra remote to carry.
• Automatically turns on the OEM heated seats and rear defroster based on outside temperature thresholds you set.
• Programmable from the stalk: run time, number of starts, light flashes, immobiliser and more.
• Works with Compustar DRONE and Directed SmartStart smartphone controllers for remote start and stop, lock and unlock, vehicle status, location and alarm notifications. Also works with Compustar RF remotes for longer range, though not AM remotes.
• Anti-theft and anti-carjacking: press AUX1 in the app and the vehicle shuts down once it reaches a stop. Requires DRONE or SmartStart.
• Add the optional Compustar DAS II sensor for shock, tilt, glass break and tow detection.
• Integrates with the factory wiring rather than cutting into it, so your vehicle warranty stays intact.
